All types of vehicles are impacted by temporary changes to the roadway in work zones. However, temporary work zone conditions that affect tire traction, balance, stability, or steering patterns may be more problematic for motorcycle riders because they travel on just two wheels, and can contribute to increased crash risk. This course describes strategies that work zone engineers and project managers can use to reduce risks to motorcycles in work zones located in Texas.
